NEBBIA was founded in Slovakia in 1997 and over the past 25 years it has expanded throughout Europe and into the USA and is perhaps most recognised as official apparel sponsor to Olympia since 2015, dressing all of the professional athletes at one of the most prestigious and important fitness and body building events in the world.

Stanka and Martin, the founders of NEBBIA, are incredibly passionate about fitness and bodybuilding, and today that passion shows in the NEBBIA clothing. The brand thrives for marrying design, quality and functionality together and also be your best cheer: the brand wants to motivate the user to follow up on their dreams, like the founders themselves did, once upon a time.

NEBBIA's success is not limited only to Olympia: the brand now supports the most prestigious competitions worldwide: Arnold Classic, EVLS and more. NEBBIA's strength is also the environmental footprint: NEBBIA's clothing are produced within EU so it will not be encumbered by long distance flights from origin to destination and some pieces of their lines also use a SEAQUAL fabric, to highlight the plight of the seas.

NEBBIA teamed up with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE in order to change the oceans to a better place to live for every living creature.

They have also eliminated the plastic they use, replacing ordinary plastic packaging with bioplastic packaging made of corn starch. NEBBIA’s long-term goal is to minimalize waste, recycle and take good care of our planet.

Marine litter from our beaches, found on the ocean floor and surface, or entering our oceans via rivers and estuaries is collected by clean-up programs. It is then sorted into different material types. The plastic portion is cleaned and transformed into SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC at SEAQUAL INITIATIVE approved facilities. It is then returned to industry to be transformed into beautiful, new, sustainable products.

“Every year 12 million tons of plastic ends up in our oceans and seas. Up to 90% of this plastic waste sinks to the bottom of the ocean. There are a total of 4.6 billion tons of plastic in our environment.

We decided to work with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE to remove this plastic. This is how a new collection was created that is made from these plastic bottles.

Imagine: In order to make pants, we need 8 plastic bottles that would otherwise have been in nature for 500 years. Instead of contamination, these bottles can be used to accompany you during your workout. These 8 bottles represent 200 grams of plastic waste, which doesn’t sound like much, but we still clean an area the size of Barcelona in a year. It no longer sounds small!”
